Artist Statement
My lastest work has been inspired by the body, particularly the bones and the structure of the body. I have Also Been inspired by how the body has been manipulated throughout fashion, as well as looking at other cultures.

In addition, the function of jewellery and how it is predominantly worn has been an influence on my work. I want the wearer to engage with the pieces, instead of them just being a static object worn on the body. I want the wearer to find it intriguing that they want to pick the pieces up and play with them.
I have made these pieces through the technique of forging, while also exploring how these subsequent pieces interconnect through the use of hinges, rivets and clasps. I have concentrated mainly working in silver, creating contrast through oxidisation and gold plating that accentuates the qualities of the metal.
